Aaron Hart (b. 1996 Lancaster, Ca) is a contemporary photographer and artist based in San Francisco, Ca. His work explores the ephemeral and serendipitous aspects of everyday life. In more than a decade of photographing the landscapes, streets, and people of California, Hart creates images that move between documentary and cinematic, observations and abstraction, and offers a nuanced testament on society, environment, and the obscure.
Raised in the Antelope Valley, Hart moved to San Francisco in 2017, where his background in non-profit work evolved into a practice of advocating for change - using his camera as both witness and weapon. His photographs honor the black and brown experience in America while expanding into themes of beauty, love, unity, and struggle.
